I firmly believe that a REALTOR plays a role in building communities. Not only by assisting the residents of a community with their real estate transactions, but by getting involved.
This is why I have committed to give 5% of my commissions to charity.
As an EcoBroker, father and veteran, I have selected charities that have a special meaning to me and that build a stronger community for all of us.
In the name of environmental sustainability I think the tagline of The Urban Farm at Stapleton says it all: Cultivating kids, crops and animals. The Urban Farm offers plots as part of the Denver Urban Gardens program, provides valuable education to inner-city youths, and is home to hundreds of farm animals.
Next I am supporting The Logan School for Creative Learning, which my daughter attends. While I am on the parents’ association and volunteer at the school when I can, providing additional monetary support will make sure the school continues to provide future students with exceptional learning experiences for years to come.
Lastly, with the veteran unemployment rate more than double the national average, I am also supporting a local organization that works to connect military veterans with meaningful jobs with an environmental focus. Veterans Green Jobs effectively brings together two important causes in a way that no other organization can.
When you become a client of mine, I will offer you the opportunity to chose which of these three well deserving organizations will benefit from our relationship, or consider an environmental, educational or veterans charity of your choice.
